What is the BEAR Project?
Did you know that just in our local area, Project Youth had to turn away 958 housing referrals in 1 year alone? That’s 83% of our total housing referrals.
Additionally, in NSW almost 1 in 2 young people are being turned away every single day for crisis housing support.
That’s why at Project Youth, the young people with lived experience, started The BEAR Project, a movement of young people driving change in their local communities to ensure no young person needs to face homelessness alone.
We are creating a community united with one mission, to ensure that all young people have access to safe housing, vital supports, and the opportunities they deserve.
