Play Safe Summer - Peer educators

The Role

  • The Peer Education program focuses on providing young people with sexual health and drug and alcohol information, resources, and knowledge around accessing health services.
  • To provide information and education on health related issues to young people accessing public space and youth orientated events

The Main Responsibilities

  • Build positive relationships with young people in public places
  • Provide appropriate information as it relates to specific peer education projects
  • Collaboration with, and participation in local government initiatives and events to increase awareness of sexual health of young people 

The Person

We’re looking for energetic and enthusiastic young people between 16 – 24 years of age to join our team as Play Safe Summer - Peer Educators. 


The Peer Education program focuses on providing young people with sexual health and drug and alcohol information, resources, and knowledge around accessing health services.


If you are keen to communicate and engage with other young people to improve their health this could be the role for you! 

You will be trained in communication and how to engage with other young people. 

Flexible and varied hours mean shifts can fit in around uni or TAFE timetables. 


Young people who identify as gender and/ or sexually diverse, first nations, or who are from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds are encourages to apply.
