The Role

This is an exciting time to join our well-established housing team. 

We have a very exciting role for a passionate and committed person who would love to work as part of a dedicated team of professionals and assist young people to work on their goals while securing and maintaining their tenancies in our transitional housing program. 


The Main Responsibilities

The Person

Essential Criteria 

  • Qualifications in Social Science, Humanities or other relevant disciplines and/or relevant experience.
  • Understanding of, and sensitivity to, the issues faced by young people requiring housing assistance
  • Demonstrated skills in support planning with young people, including goal setting and outcomes-based focus
  • Proven ability to work as part of a team as well as individually
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills
  • Proven ability to work with a diverse range of clients
  • Commitment to the principles of equity of access, cultural diversity, client service and accountability
  • Proven ability in taking referrals and conducting assessments based on individual needs
  • Groupwork skills 
  • Understanding of WHS requirements
  • High level of written and oral communication 
  • Computer Literacy
  • Ability to manage time effectively, plan and prioritise tasks
  • Ability to work to deadlines and meet KPIs
  • Possess a good understanding of trauma informed principles and young person-centred approach and an ability to implement this into practice  
  • Drivers Licence and own vehicle.
  • Current Working with Children's Check 
  • National Police Check

Desirable

• Current First Aid certificate
